My Silly Aztec Poem

The Aztecs found a piece of land
That didn’t have any sand.

They found an eagle eating a snake,
In the middle of the swampy lake.

They build a city
And did it all without pity.

With all the causeways
You might want to take a gaze.

They did all the sacrifice to keep their gods happy,
If not the sun won’t rise and they’ll all be unhappy.

They built temples and canals like streams
It’s so nice you could be in a dream!

  1. Hi, Pilar. Your poem was great! Thank you for using facts from class and doing a good job of rhyming words. I enjoyed reading it. Mr. Maxson
